2025 4Runner Connectivity & Safety Technology

The Toyota 4Runner stands as a legend, boasting a rock-solid reputation forged over the last four decades.

Completely redesigned for 2025, this mid-size, genuine SUV is capable, dynamic, and durable.

Driver Connectivity & Toyota Multimedia

Every member of the 2025 4Runner family is a technology showcase, highlighted by the Toyota Multimedia system. This suite of smart connectivity technologies keeps drivers informed and safe while making life easier behind the wheel.

Toyota Multimedia wirelessly integrates with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, featuring Toyota’s latest interface that enhances interaction between people and vehicles through sight, touch, and voice.

Many functions can be controlled via the touch screen using the same gestures as on mobile phone screens.

Toyota Safety Start System: Safer Than Ever

As a Toyota, each member of the 4Runner family boasts an impressive array of active and passive safety technologies.

Every model is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, crafted to boost driver awareness, decision-making, and control.

Additionally, all models come with eight airbags, a Blind Spot Monitor System with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, a backup camera with back guide monitor and rear camera washer, a tire pressure monitoring system with auto location, and an anti-theft alarm system with engine immobilizer.

What’s Under The 2025 4Runner Hood?

The 4Runner can be equipped with an i-FORCE turbocharged 2.4L four-cylinder engine featuring active noise control and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

This setup delivers 278 peak horsepower and up to 317 lb-ft of torque. Depending on the grade, 4Runner models are available with either part-time 4WD or full-time 4WD.

The 4Runner Hybrid, marking the first electrified version of the 4Runner, boasts an i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain.

This combines the 2.4L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 48-horsepower electric motor integrated into the eight-speed transmission, along with a 1.87-kWh nickel-metal hydride battery pack.
