The Toyota GR Supra has a rich heritage that dates back to the Celica Supra of 1979, and has become synonymous with exceptional sports performance.
According to Cyril Dimitris, the Vice President of Toyota Canada Inc., the GR Supra is a true masterpiece of design and engineering.
It is packed with features that exude high performance, making it deserving of the prestigious ‘Gazoo Racing’ GR name. To mark the 45-year legacy of this iconic badge, Toyota is thrilled to introduce a limited production GR Supra in an exclusive Plasma Orange colour scheme.
The GR Supra is available with two engine options and two transmissions, each carefully engineered to achieve optimal handling with a nearly perfect weight balance and low center of gravity. The sport-tuned variable-ratio electric power steering provides precise control, while the Sport Mode enhances throttle response, sharpens shifts, and tunes the differential more aggressively.
The GR Supra showcases its performance capabilities through its bold and aerodynamic design. It features a wide grille with large air intakes, a double-bubble cabin roof that reduces drag without compromising headroom, and six-lens LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights and turn signals.
Inside the two-seater cockpit, the focus is on the driver. The asymmetrical center console enhances the driving experience, and console-mounted side knee padding provides extra support during high-G corners.
All models have the Toyota Smart Key System, heated seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, aluminum scuff plates, and carbon fibre interior trim. The instrument cluster features a 3D tachometer and customizable displays for essential driving information, navigation, or entertainment options. The GR Supra ensures a comfortable ride for the driver and the passenger.
Safety is a top priority, and every GR Supra is equipped with a comprehensive package of active and passive safety features. These include Lane Departure Warning with Steering Assist, full-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. Other safety features include a backup camera, automatic high beams, eight airbags, a child seat restraint system, and an anti-theft alarm system.
To commemorate the 45th anniversary, Toyota is offering Canadians a limited production Toyota GR Supra 45th Anniversary Special Edition, as well as three other trim levels.
The 2024 Toyota GR Supra 2.0 is an entry-level model that delivers an authentic sports coupe experience. It is powered by a 2.0L twin-scroll turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This combination produces 255 horsepower and up to 295 lb-ft of torque. Notable features include an 8.8″ touchscreen, digital gauge cluster, four-speaker audio system, 18″ alloy wheels, Alcantara upholstery, full LED headlights, adaptive steering, and parking sensors.
The 2024 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Premium AT offers maximum performance and excitement. It is equipped with a track-bred 3.0L twin-scroll turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine that generates 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, launch control function, and manual mode allows for thrilling acceleration, with the ability to go from 0-100 kph in just 4.1 seconds. This model includes additional features such as a head-up display, Hairpin+ Function for exceptional performance on tight curves, adaptive suspension system, active rear sport differential, 4-piston Brembo brakes, 12-speaker JBL Audio System, Navigation with Supra Connect, Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, 14-way power-adjustable seats with leather upholstery, and a sport exhaust.
The 2024 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Premium MT offers the same features as the automatic edition but with a six-speed intelligent manual transmission. This model is specifically tuned to the GR Supra’s 3.0L inline-6 engine and features red sport pedals.
The 2024 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 45th Anniversary Special Edition is a limited-production model that pays tribute to the Supra legacy. Based on the 3.0L manual transmission model, it features a unique black leather interior, manually adjustable rear spoiler, exclusive 19″ wheels with a matte black finish, black brake callipers, orange strut tower braces, orange SUPRA badge, and a serialization plaque. The exterior is finished in stunning Plasma Orange paint with black exterior side graphics.
