This is the foundational layer of care that ensures your vehicle remains safe and efficient. At this stage, we aren't just changing things; we are monitoring the "vitals." Check the installation of the driver's floor mat. Inspect all lights and the horn for proper operation. Inspect wiper blades, linkage and washers for proper operation. Check and record tire tread depth. Examine tires for damage and uneven wear. Remove wheels & visually inspect brake pads, callipers, rotors, brake lines and hoses. Rotate tires (applicable to same size wheels, front & rear). Remove & inspect cabin air filter. Remove & inspect engine air filter. Inspect for leaks where applicable - engine oil, brake fluid, engine coolant, intercooler coolant, inverter coolant, power steering fluid, transmission/transaxle fluid, differential fluid, transfer case fluid, and top up windshield washer fluid. Visually inspect the Hybrid Battery Cooling Intake Filter (if equipped) & clean if required. Record inspection results, measurements and component condition on the inspection form and/or repair order. Reset the Maintenance Reminder Light or system. Service #2: The Deep Dive Interval: Every 12 Months / 16,000 km Once your Toyota has seen a full year of Ontario seasons, it’s time for a deeper look. Service #2 includes everything in Service #1 but adds critical mechanical maintenance that prevents long-term wear. Replace engine oil & filter. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks, damage or broken hangers. Check steering gear, linkage and shock absorbers for looseness, damage or leakage. Inspect ball joints and dust covers, driveshafts, chassis nuts & bolts for looseness or damage. Inspect differential and transfer case vents for obstruction. Visually inspect drive belts and adjust tension if required. Lubricate locks, latches and hinges. Service #3: The Comprehensive Reset Interval: Every 24 Months / 32,000 km Service #3 is our most thorough maintenance interval. By the time you reach 32,000 km, your Toyota has worked hard. This service is designed to "reset" the vehicle to its peak operating condition and contains all of the services listed above and the following. Inspect brake lines and hoses. Remove brake callipers and/or brake drums. Inspect and measure brake rotors/drums and pads/shoes. Inspect engine oil cooler lines and automatic transmission cooler lines if equipped for leakage, looseness or damage. Check steering gear, linkage and shock absorbers for looseness, damage or leakage. Inspect fuel system for leaks or damage, inspect the condition of the fuel tank band, fuel tank cap gasket, fuel tank vapour vent system hoses, fuel lines and connections. The Toyota Mirai enters the 2025 model year with the same great cutting-edge efficiency and innovation that uses hydrogen from onboard tanks and oxygen from the outside air to generate power for the vehicle. The Mirai is the perfect companion to help reduce carbon emissions without compromising convenience, with an EPA estimated driving range rating of 402 miles. In 2025, the Toyota Mirai is going to be available only in the XLE grade, and it’s packed with some awesome standard features. You’ll get a Panoramic View Monitor, Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking, and even front-seat foot illumination. There’s also an electric air compressor that pumps up the intake air, and a water-cooled intercooler that chills the compressed air before it hits the fuel cell stack. Plus, there’s a water-cooled oil cooler hooked up with the air compressor to keep things running super efficiently. The intake system’s got your back when it comes to cutting down on noise, so you won’t even notice it while you’re inside. It’s a must to purify the air that goes into the fuel cell, though. That’s where the electrostatic air cleaner comes in, snagging those super tiny particles (like Particulate Matter 2.5).
